AI Players (a.k.a AIs, NPCs, Teammates, Enemies) are the NPC players in Payback 2. They are used in all modes except Story Mode, as well as in all gamemodes, except Rampage. They are also used to replace empty slots in Multiplayer.

Description[]

Behavior[]

Overall, they TRY to act as players. They fight, drive and capture anything the AI tells them to. For their personalities, see below.

Usually, when an AI player is inside a vehicle, they will attempt to ram other enemies. However, on some occasions they will fire weapons from their vehicle.

Fighting & Arsenal[]

AI Players will usually only attack other AIs if they are near a enemy zone, they get attacked by them or if a one has the swag. They can also target other AIs even though they didn't attack them or do anything to them. AI Players hold their weapons as if they were real players in first-person mode.

Police ignores any crimes committed by AI Players.

Removed Characters[]

Proof. The timecode is 0:24.

For some reasons, these characters were removed. They can only be seen in the first official trailer of Payback 2.

  • Bundy - Bundy was a character in Payback 2. He is likely inspired from Ted Bundy, an infamous American serial murderer who targets young women during the 1970s and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials, before his execution in 1989, he confessed to 30 homicides that he committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. Bundy was probably deleted to avoid controversy.
  • Bronson - Bronson was a character in Payback 2. Bronson might be inspired by Manson. Manson doesn’t appear on the leaderboard. Bronson probably was Charles Bronson (Born Michael Gordon Peterson, formerly Charles Ali Ahmed and currently Charles Arthur Salvador) - A British criminal who has been referred to in the British press as the "Most Violent Prisoner in Britain" and "Britain's most Notorious Prisoner". The reason why Apex Designs was probably gonna add this character is because the game developers are British, and the game is set in Britain. Fun Fact: Bronson and the Kray Twins (Ronnie and Reggie) actually met once, and had a special bond with them.
